MuharramThe Islamic New Year is a cultural event which Muslims observe on the first day of Muharram, the first month in the Islamic calendar.
ChristmasBirth of Jesus celibrated as the Christmas.It is annual holiday celibrated on December 25. Christmas in Indonesia is a popular festival Although Indonesia is predominantly a Muslim country, it is a national holiday for Christmas in Indonesia.

 
   Libur Nasional dan Cuti Bersama 2012
  • Pemerintah, Rabu (13/7/2012) mengumumkan hari libur nasional dan cuti bersama tahun 2012 melalui surat keputusan bersama (SKB) tiga menteri.
    SKB tersebut bernomor 7 Tahun 2011, No 04/MEN/VII/2011 dan No SKB/03/M.PAn-rb/07/2011 ditandatangani oleh Menteri Agama Suryadharma Ali, Menteri Tenaga Kerja dan Transmigrasi Muhaimin Iskandar, dan Menteri Negara Pendayagunaan Aparatur Negara dan Reformasi Birokrasi EE Mangindaan.
  • Dalam SKB disebutkan untuk libur nasional sebanyak 14 hari, lima diantaranya hari Minggu. Sementara cuti bersama sebanyak lima hari.
  • Menurut data cuti bersama pada 2008 sebanyak lima hari, pada 2009 berkurang menjadi empat hariu, pada 2010 berkurang lagi menjadi tiga hari, pada 2011 bertambah menjadi empat hari dan tahun ini sebanyak lima hari. (H)
